Master page layouts can be edited by clicking Page Master at the bottom of the Displayr window.
Adding new master pages to your document
The Page Master allows you to make changes to the layout and formatting of your different master pages. There are six default master pages: Title Only, Blank, Title Page, Title and Content, Content and Text, and Two Content. These cannot be deleted, but they can be modified.
You can also add or copy in an additional master page. Right-click on a Page in the Master pane and Duplicate it, then modify it to your liking. The name of the Page in the Master pane is also the name of the layout.
Types of formatting changes you can make to pages in the Page Master:
- Adding backgrounds.
- Inserting a placeholder for items such as Text Boxes, Content Blocks, and Page Numbers
- Setting default colors for charts, tables, and shapes.
- Setting default font family, font size, font style, and font color for each Master Page.
- Creating a Chart template.
- Setting up example layouts, similar to PowerPoint. Note that Page and slide dimensions are determined via Document Settings
> Document Layout.
- Setting default significance testing assumptions.
Once you have made all the desired changes, to return Normal view, click Exit Page Master.
See How to Create a Template Document for more details on customizations.
