Whenever you click a menu to select font colors, colors in shapes, charts, or visualizations, you'll see the color selection menu:
There are three main sections:
- New colors
- Document colors
- Themes
Themes speak for themselves. Currently, it is not possible to save a custom theme.
There's a bit more to the New and Document colors sections that will help save you time and effort in Displayr.
New colors
When you click New you get a range of options for choosing the color you want, including setting RGB values and HEX color codes.
The opacity of your color is determined by the numeric value in the box to the left of the eye dropper icon or by using the opacity slider below the hue slider. Setting the % value to 0% will make your color completely transparent.
You can click on the eye dropper to select a color from another object. For example, in the column visualization below, I update the gray column to match the color in the Displayr logo.
Document colors
Every time you use New to choose a new color, Displayr will save that color in the Document colors section, so you don't have to type in the color codes or set the color again. These are saved for each document.
Further, if you right-click on one of the color boxes in this section, you can choose to Edit the color (that is, change it to a different color code), or Delete it if you don't want to use it anymore.
