A folder is a collection of tables, charts, or other outputs in the Report tree in Q. In Displayr, a parent-level page is a Page that has one or more pages (sub-pages) grouped underneath it, or a folder within the Data Sources tree containing at least one variable set. It is the same idea as having folders on your computer.
In Q, they are created by right-clicking on the Report tree and selecting Add Folder. A new table can be added to a folder by right-clicking on the group and selecting Add Table. An existing table can be moved into a folder by selecting the table and dragging it into the folder.
In Displayr, parent-level pages with sub-pages are created in the Report tree by:
- Selecting an existing page and clicking + > Sub-page > Select page style, or
- Dragging and dropping a page on top of another page in the Report tree.
To add an existing page as a sub-page to a parent-level page, drag the page onto the parent-level page's name. A new sub-page page can be added to a parent-level page by right-clicking on the parent-level page and selecting Move into New Page.
To add a folder in the Data Sources tree:
- Find a position where you want to create the folder, select the variable above it, and click + > Folder.
- Select the variable sets you want to put in the folder (you can use Shift and Ctrl to select multiple), and drag those on top of the folder name.
