In situations where none of the simpler tests are applicable:
- Bartlett's Correction to Wilk's Lambda for MANOVA is used on crosstabs of Categorical Questions by other Numeric Questions. If Statistical tests for categorical and numeric data > Means is set to Non-parametric each of the numeric variables is replaced by its ranks (computed within a variable with ties replaced by their mean rank).
- Bartlett's Chi-square for Canonical Correlation is used on crosstabs of Numeric Questions, or, where the categorical variables are not mutually exclusive. The Correlations setting determines how the correlations are computed (e.g., if set to Pearson's Product Moment Correlation the test is parametric; otherwise it is nonparametric - see Correlations - Comparing Two Numeric Variables ).
- Pearson’s Chi-square for Canonical Correlation Analysis is used on crosstabs of Categorical Questions.
